Holidays listed pursuant to Arkanss Code Annotated § 1-5-101. Holidays falling on a Saturday will be observed on the preceding Friday. Holidays falling on a Sunday will be observed on the succeeding Monday.

Should a legal holiday fall during any General or Special Session of the General Assembly, the Treasurer's office shall remain open, unless directed to close by resolution of the General Assembly. Pursuant to Arkansas Code Annotated §10-2-123, in observance of the birthday of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., the General Assembly shall not convene.

The Governor may at his discretion establish by Executive Proclamation additional days when state offices shall be closed in observance of special events or for other reasons.
