Police Asking for the Public's Help in Elderly Attack

During the early morning hours of August 15, 2010, between the approximate times of 12:30a and 1:30a, suspects entered the residence of Ed Christenson 82, at 951 N. Division Street in Forrest City. Mr. Christenson was severely beaten and robbed. Mr. Christenson was transported to the MED in Memphis as a result of his injuries. Several items were taken from his home including jewelry and a flat screen TV. The Forrest City Police Department is asking the public for any information concerning this crime, so that we can get those responsible off our streets and in jail where they belong. It is believed that there may be citizens out there with information that could assist in bringing the suspect(s) to justice before this crime is committed against others in our community.

Any information is welcome and there is no information that is considered unimportant. We are asking that anyone with information please contact the Forrest City Police Department at 870-633-3434 or call Crime Stoppers at 870-261-1499. All calls will remain confidential and Crime Stoppers pays a cash reward of up to $1000.00 for information leading to the arrests of those responsible.
